Electric kettle

Electric Kettle is an electric device that is used for making tea and coffee through electricity. It is the most efficient way of turning cold water into hot water without a stove. It is the simplest household appliances. Electric kettle converted Electric energy into the Heat energy. When you plug the kettle electrical outlet, a large electric current flows into the heating element. The element's resistance has the capability to turns the electrical energy into heat. In other words, the element gets hot. Since it's in direct contact with cold water, the heat passes to the water by conduction and rapidly warms it up too.

Components of Electric kettle

Electric kettle consists of different parts and setups which perform a function which may be different based on model and company. There are following parts of electric kettle such as:

• Body
• Heating Element
• On/Off switch
• Thermostat
• Power connection
• Other option

Body

Electric Kettle body is a cylindrical shape that is made up of stainless steel, ceramic, and glass. The body is consists of a pot, lid, and handle.

Heating Element

The Heating element is the main component that provides the heat. It is present at the bottom of the kettle.

ON/OFF Switch

This switch turns the kettle on, which will start generating the electricity and heating element to produce the heat. Some kettles have an automatic OFF button which turns off the kettle on appropriate heat.

Thermostat

A thermostat is a temperature monitor that detects the appropriate temperature and sends the message to the on/off switch to stop the flow of electric current through the heating element.

Power Connection

The kettle has a direct electric cord, which connected the kettle to an electric plug or outlet.

Other Option

Many kettles have many other options based on model and company. Different models have different other options that perform a different function.

How an electric kettle works

The electric kettles are work by using the heating element which produces heat. The Heating element is made up of resistive material which converts the electric energy into the heat energy. When the water is add in the kettle and press the on button the heating element produces heat and thermostat sense the heat and shut off the heating energy when the desired temperature is reached.

Electric kettles are two types: cordless and corded kettles
Corded kettles have a cord that is connected to the base of the kettle which produces the energy, and plugs into the wall.
Cordless consists of two parts - the base and the jug. Electric kettle contains the jug that consists of the heating element which helps in heating the liquid inside the jug.

The base of the electric kettle is connected to the power cord which can be connected to any power outlet for the supply of electric current. The best advantage of the cordless electric kettle is that when the water reaches its boiling point, the inbuilt thermostat that is present in it ensures that it automatically switches off.

Usage of Electric kettle

Mainly Electric kettles are used for making tea, coffee, and green tea. The Electric kettle works on the appropriate temperature. Electric kettles are used for different heating purposes for the boiling of water.

Electric Kettles are used for making hot soup and heating the water. Kettles are used for heating of milk for use of different purposes. The Electric kettle is used for heating of water for cleaning purposes of the metal pot.

We can use the Electric kettle for boiling of water for baby water bottle cleaning. It can also be used for the boiling of noodles for making pasta. We can use electric kettles for making soupy noodles.

It is also used for the boiling of eggs. Based on the heat we can be boiled the egg soft boil and hard boil. Take the egg in the kettle, fill the kettle with water, and set the temperature of a kettle. Leave the eggs in kettles at the desired time.
